Russian Railways cancels 129 passenger trains for spring, summer

MOSCOW, Apr 17 (PRIME) -- Russian Railways will cancel 129 additional passenger trains previously scheduled for the May holidays and the summer season, the company said in a statement on Friday.

“Due to a significant contraction of demand for travelling due to the unfavorable epidemiologic situation, Russian Railways temporarily brings 76 trains that were additionally scheduled to the summer season of 2020 out of operation. In addition to that, additional 53 trains that were previously appointed for the May holidays will not be running,” the statement read.
